Gail's Thyroid Tips
QUESTIONS EVERY DOCTOR SHOULD ASK HIMSELF:

Do my levothyroxine patients feel perfect?

Is EVERY symptom alleviated?

Are they 100% satisfied with their medication?

Are they taking anti-depressants, cholesterol-lowering
medication, pain-killers or other drugs to alleviate
problems that are known to be hypothyroid
symptoms? If so, are those drugs the only things
keeping them "feeling good?" If a patient requires
other medications, her thyroid medications are not
correct.

Have freeT3 levels been checked?

Are their free T3 levels in about the same percentile
as their free T4 levels?  Free T3 should not be
significantly lower than free T4.
